It was a beautiful spring morning as Joy & Rich prepared to say I do at the Church of the Resurrection & All Saints in Caldy Village on the Wirral. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse as the day wore on, but with a reception venue as beautiful and as cosy as Thornton Manor nobody minded at all.
I have a real soft spot for Thornton Manor as I attended the local primary school in Thornton Hough when the 3rd Viscount Leverhulme was alive. Each year he’d invite the whole school to the Manor for a summer picnic and we’d all have a great time exploring the grounds and stuffing our faces full of cake! As a child I never would have imagined I’d be back twenty years later photographing a wedding there… it was lovely to revisit the house after all those years and see it so full of life again.
Thanks go to Kate Rossin for second shooting this lovely wedding with me!
