Having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in architecture, I worked in practice in Liverpool for a year before deciding it wasn’t for me after all. It was at this point, in 2008, that I took up photography… I remember my Mum gave me a wall hanging which said,
‘Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one‘.
In Autumn 2010 I qualified as a Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photography.
From the moment I first became interested in photography, I began to see things differently. Common surroundings became potential images and now I’m always on the hunt for something honest, interesting and beautiful.
Photography has opened my eyes and made me study the world around me in a way I never did before. I love love love exploring, camera in hand, attempting to understand the essence of a place or event and record it on film.
I feel privileged to be asked to capture people’s memories, and more than anything I want my clients to come away from their photography experience with pictures which will be treasured now and in years to come.
