At the end of April I was fortunate enough to meet the lovely Michelle and her husband Bryan in the beautiful french town of Aix-en-Provence.  These two were married a year earlier in the States and spent their honeymoon in, arguably the most romantic city on earth, Paris.  For their 1st wedding anniversary, they planned to return to Paris and also to spend a week in the south of France.  They settled on the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence and rented a bijou apartment on the top floor of a crumbling townhouse in the heart of the old town.

Personally, I feel pretty at home in Provence as I spent many happy family holidays in the region as a child.  However I had never visited Aix and so was completely thrilled when Michelle contacted me last year and asked me to fly out and take some photographs for them to mark their anniversary!  I felt even more flattered when I learned that Michelle is actually a very talented wedding photographer herself based in Austin, Texas.

I hope you enjoy browsing through these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.  All that’s left for me to say is a big thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Boyd for inviting me to join them in France, for their faith in my work and for their wonderful company!

I met Francesca & John in early April in the area of London they know best; the beautiful stretch from Regent’s Park into Fitzrovia.  The day they chose for their shoot showed all the happy signs of spring; bright skies, pink blossom and lush fresh greens…

I first met Jenna & Chris in the Boathouse Pub in September 2011, when they booked me to photograph their wedding coming up in June this year.  Since then I have photographed Jenna’s grandparents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary and Jenna’s pack of adorable dogs!  As a photographer, I can’t tell you how lovely it is when you find clients who get what you do and truly appreciate the way you see the world.

When I asked Jenna & Chris whether they’d mind my shooting their session on film, there was no hesitation.  And when we met up towards the end of February in my hometown of Parkgate, two hours of shooting turned into four hours of shooting plus a break for chips along the promenade… and yes, there are three forks in the chips!

Thanks for being such good sports guys, it was a pleasure as always.

Positioned in a peaceful spot on the north coast of Cornwall is the sleepy fishing village of Port Isaac, well known from the television series ‘Doc Martin’ or as home to the shanty singing group ‘Fishermen’s Friends’.  A visit here is always on my list of things to do whenever I visit Cornwall.

The sea front is comfortingly familiar but I love to wander up the narrow, winding streets and explore the path less trodden…

I first met Lorraine & Evan when I photographed their engagement shoot in Bristol last summer.  Just a few weeks later, I was up north on the border of South Yorkshire & Derbyshire photographing their beautiful wedding!

These two were married at Christ Church in the lovely village of Dore and celebrated with their friends and family amidst rolling hills at Townfield Barn in Derbyshire.  The landscape and the colours were simply breathtaking.  It was a wonderful day to photograph.
